What is Benbo Bets?
Benbo Bets is a data-driven information service for those who want to make a profit over time betting on professional basketball games. Each day we identify NBA and WNBA games with the best potential for beating the Vegas odds and send those picks to our subscribers. In a nutshell, we take advantage of situations where, more often than not, Vegas has incorrectly priced the outcome of a game.
Our unique mathematical model uses detailed box score data of all games over an extended period of time, other publicly available information, the latest Vegas betting odds and a regression analysis to recommend which games subscribers should consider betting on.
It’s like an index fund of all NBA or WNBA games with selective subsets each day where “investors” themselves make the bets and financial transactions following recommendations in our newsletter.
To ensure relatively little exposure of principal on any particular game we recommend that the maximum bet on any specific game be limited to 1% of a person’s betting bankroll. In betting parlance bankroll is the amount a person has for their betting activities.
To measure the success of our recommended picks over time we assume that a subscriber makes a one-time investment of money as their initial bankroll and adjusts the bankroll up or down each betting day by the amount they won or lost on their previous betting day.
Our Return on Investment from the start date on February 6, 2021, through February 6, 2022, was 44.1% on 787 picks. A person who invested $10,000 in his or her initial portfolio on February 6 and followed our exact recommendations would have made $4,410 in one year.
By comparison, the ROI of the S&P 500 from February 6, 2021, through February 6, 2022, was 15.6%. A person who invested $10,000 would have made $1,560 in one year.
